Contact Wittman

Here are all the ways you can contact Rob Wittman directly. We keep this as current as possible, so let us know if anything needs to be updated.

Any method of communication is preferable to not communicating at all. When you contact members of Congress, their staff assign point values to each kind of communication. As GovFacts describes, there is a “hierarchy of influence”:

  1. In person: Highest impact for issues that are of long term importance

  2. Phone: High impact for urgent matters

  3. Email, mail, and fax: High impact if done well

  4. Town hall meetings: Situational impact

  5. Social media: Lower impact for direct persuasion, higher for public awareness

  6. Form emails / petitions: Lowest impact

Wittman hasn’t held a town hall since at least 2018, preferring “telephone town halls” in which questions are screened and follow-up is nonexistent. We primarily advocate the use of calls and email (including personal communications delivered via ResistBot), and form petitions for mass communications requiring rapid response.

Call his offices

Washington, D.C. Office: (202) 225-4261
Glen Allen Office: (804) 401-4120
Yorktown Office: (757) 527-6270

Before you call, write down these things, keeping it brief and to the point:

  • The issue you’re calling about

  • Why it’s important to you

  • What you want Wittman to do about it

His staff will ask for your name and address because comments from VA-01 constituents get more attention than others.

Use his online form to email him

His website includes this form, which essentially emails your thoughts to his staff. Make sure you state your issue and why it’s important to you and VA-01, and what you want Wittman to do about it. Make sure to state that you are a VA-01 constituent.

Use ResistBot for email, fax, and mail for petitions

ResistBot is an automated system to help you email, snail mail, or fax directly to your government representatives. You can pick from existing petitions to Wittman, create a petition of your own, or write an individual letter. The petitions, as well as letters, are easily shared via social media, text, or email. If you create a Wittman ResistBot petition, please tell us about it and we’ll spread the word.

To create your own petition, go to the website or text 50409 with the word “House.” The system will then walk you through the simple process.

Go to his offices

Wittman is rarely at his offices, but you can engage with his staff, who are unfailingly polite and helpful (so please be the same to them!).
