This is great info! I just stumbled across this site when looking up the dem candidates in my area since I just had one canvasser knock on my door. I live in Wittman's district and I'm sick of his enabling Trump's MAGA bs agenda. I'll be glad to vote for anyone but him. Good job with the site and let me know if there's more I can do to help. You just got another subscriber. 🤣

It was Claude this time. I asked it to give me a detailed breakdown of the candidates in my district and the majority of the information it gave me was sourced from this site so I figured I'd check it out.

Thanks for your comment. FYI, we read Qasim’s article endorsing Saleem and posted it to our socials. Qasim’s opinion is his own but some of the “receipts” he offered in his article warrant deeper scrutiny; the stuff about “Netanyahu-aligned money” is simply not credible, for example. Here’s the BlueSky link (as that’s viewable without a need for a login): https://bsky.app/profile/wittmanwatch.bsky.social/post/3mom5624xac2v.

[he cast Social Security and Medicare as victims of the national debt and called for “targeted savings ]

Another excellent expose’ on Wittman’s subterfuge and double talk on earned social programs.

Republicans always conflate Social Security and Medicare with the national debt.

But both Medicare and Social Security are SELF FUNDED. They are funded through payroll taxes called FICA and explained here;

This is an excellent article which I've posted on my facebook page. Please keep sharing. This isn't just about Wittman. It's about educating all about how things really work. Robert Reich said this very same thing yesterday on MSNOW.

Republicans plan is to “Privatize “ all government programs starting with letting Social Security die by not raising the cap above $184,000 on those higher workers.

Or simply raising the FICA payroll taxes by 1% to keep SS solvent.

It's more insidious than that, even: the plan seems to be to privatize it *so that* and then divert all the Trust's money into private treasuries and the stock market. This would be the biggest influx of dollars into the market in a generation.

You are correct.

Remember Bush wanted to Commingle Social Security into stock investments in 2005.

Also remember that Bush Republicans successfully partially privatized Medicare by inventing Medicare Advantage which provides healthcare while you are relatively healthy but denies coverage as you become older and less healthy.
