Silence is blood red
Wittman's dangerous complicity with murder and lawlessness
While Pete Hegseth orders the US military to commit murder, Rob Wittman is posting about Small Business Saturday. He is disconnected from reality, unmoored from morality, ignoring the law, allowing Hegseth, Trump, and others to destroy America's reputation and tear up the Constitution.
Pete Hegseth reportedly ordered US military to "Kill them all" - murdering unknown individuals, contravening the Uniform Code of Military Justice and international law. The Senate Armed Services Committee has announced an investigation. Wittman is Vice Chair of the House Armed Services Committee. When will he speak up like his committee peers?
Congressman Seth Moulton (D-MA), a Marine Corps vet on the Committee, has said: "Mark my words: it may take some time, but Americans will be prosecuted for this, as a war crime or outright murder." Senator Mark Kelly and his peers were right to remind US military personnel not to follow illegal orders.
Wittman continues to be an empty suit, turning a blind eye to horrific acts and policies that are killing people across the world and at home: allowing families to starve during the shutdown, murdering Venezuelans, causing 600,000+ deaths in developing nations, cutting healthcare access, and putting National Guard troops in harm's way for no good reason.
Wittman isn't simply incompetent. His silence isn't harmless. He's a dangerous enabler of this administration's deeply unpopular and unsanctioned acts. Our nation's very soul is being attacked by him and his peers who conspire through silence with Trump and his cronies.
In November 2026, remember all of this horror - and the rest that will yet occur.
